Blocks
CADD Standards • Version 1.0

Blocks from a user library should be used when possible to decrease the time required to redraw the same entity. The use of blocks in details is not a good practice. This can cause conflicts when several details are inserted in a drawing, with a block of the same name, but the blocks are different.

Draw each of the block's objects on layer 0 with color and linetype set to BYLAYER. This will allow control over the color and linetype of each instance of a particular block by using the color and linetype of the layer on which you insert it.
