CADD Standards • Version 1.0

All details shall conform to a Master Detail format. This format is established by the Master Detail files located in support folder using the dtm-***.dwg (where *** = detail scale number) naming convention. Standard details are saved from each project and stored in the CADD Standard Details book for later usage.

Before starting a new detail first check the CADD Standard Details book for a similar detail to use as a base. Write the sequential number file name on the list in the detail book which is periodically updated by the MIS. This is very important to prevent the loss of details through similar naming when backing up at the end of the project. The detail should not overlap the extent of the box. Upon completion of the project, each detail should be plotted and added to the book.

Master Detail Scale List:
dtm-003 = 3"
dtm-115 = 1-1/2"
dtm-001 = 1"
dtm-075 = 3/4"
dtm-005 = 1/2"
dtm-375 = 3/8"
dtm-025 = 1/4"
dtm-100 = full

Detail Divisions (base on CSI):

When inserting details on a project sheet file, an insertion grid should be used. These grids should be located in a support folder, named dtg-***.dwg (where **** = sheet size). Remember to turn A-DETL-TEMP layer off before final plotting.

When drawing wall sections, use the master detail standards and extend the drawing box vertically as needed. Insert each wall section so that the finish floor elevations align and the relationship between ceiling and roof elevations correlate across the entire sheet.
