File Names
CADD Standards • Version 1.0
File names are based upon job number and sheet number. The project
number, the sheet designation letter and the sheet number are
combined to make the file name. ie, if you have a project number of
98021 and the drawing is A101 the file name would be 98021a101.dwg. The
long file name only applies to Windows 95/NT and AutoCAD R13 or greater. Otherwise
you will need to shorten the name to 8.3.
