Project Backup
CADD Standards • Version 1.0



Upon completion of a project, all relevant files are to be permanently archived on Floppy disk or CD-ROM for storage by the MIS. The procedure for this backup is as follows:

Floppy Disk Method:
  1. Purge all files of unnecessary data.
  2. Save as many files as possible per floppy.
  3. Backup all project specific logos, borders, out-of-office resource files, etc.
  4. Digitally label each disk with the project number + the sequential disk number (i.e. "-01") followed by an "A" for AutoCAD drawings.
  5. Typed labels should be generated which include: digital label number, project name, file format and date.
