Drawing Setup
CADD Standards • Version 1.0

Each drawing (graphic) file should contain only one drawing. Verify sheet size with project requirements.

The location of the drawing origin should be at the lower left corner of the border. The origin point shall be at coordinates 0,0,0 and should not be moved.

All graphics shall be created in actual (real world) size. Scaling of the final product is performed when plotting the drawing. Standard border sheets used will depend on the output scale. Sizing and placing text and tags must be done with the scale of the plotted drawing considered, reference Appendix 'F' Text & Scale Factors.

ArchSymb Setup
ArchSymb uses a dialog box for easy setup of each new drawing, or modifing an existing drawing. When starting a new drawing, a Setup dialog box will be displayed. This dialog box allows for setting the sheet scale, page size, standard border, drawing variables and layer control. This dialog box can be recalled at any time with the command "ddsetup".
